1. Data collected
Personal data:
last name, first name, email address, phone number.
Service-related data:
Details of your flight bookings, specific requests, and interactions with Esifly (for example, as part of our matchmaking services for cost-shared flights or aeronautical activities).
Browsing and usage data (audience measurement):
Pages viewed, clicks and interactions, reading time and progress, entry and exit pages, outbound links, as well as technical information: device type, browser, operating system, language, IP address and approximate location (country, region, city), and visit source (referring site, campaign). This data is linked to a visitor and session identifier and, when you are logged in, to your account (email address).
2. Use of data
The information collected is used to:
Provide and manage our services (cost-shared flights, aerial activities, etc.).
Improve the user experience and optimise our website.
Communicate with our customers (booking confirmations, notifications).
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
3. Location data (precise and approximate)
We distinguish between two types of location data, in line with the transparency requirements of app distribution platforms (in particular the "Data safety" section of Google Play):
Approximate location:
derived from your IP address (country, region, city). It is used for audience measurement, security and content adaptation. It does not allow you to be precisely located on a map.
Precise location:
obtained via your device's geolocation service (GPS), only after your explicit system-level authorisation. It is used to pre-fill your position, to find the nearest heliports, aerodromes and flights, and to make it easier to create listings. You can refuse or revoke this authorisation at any time in your device or browser settings; the service remains usable, with manual entry taking over.
We only collect precise location when it is necessary for the feature you are using, and we do not use it for advertising purposes.
4. AI assistant and third-party artificial intelligence integrations
Esifly offers a conversational assistant ("ESIFLY Assistant") that relies on a third-party artificial intelligence provider (Anthropic, Claude models) to answer your questions and help you search for flights or prepare a quote.
Limited use:
the data you enter into the assistant (the content of your messages, which may include your flight criteria and, where applicable, a contact email address) is transmitted to this provider for the sole purpose of generating a response and providing the requested feature. It is not used for purposes unrelated to this service.
Disclosure:
the processing is carried out by our AI provider in accordance with its own terms of use and privacy policy. By default, these exchanges are not used to train the provider's models.
Consent:
using the assistant is optional. You only send data to the AI when you choose to interact with the assistant. We encourage you not to share sensitive information, nor more personal data than necessary.
5. Data sharing
Your data may be shared with third parties in the following cases:
Service providers (pilots, partner aeronautical companies).
Legal authorities where required by law. We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
6. Data security
We implement technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.

In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the following rights:

8. Audience measurement, cookies and trackers
In order to understand how our site is used and to improve our services, Esifly carries out audience measurement using an internal ("first-party") analytics tool hosted on its own servers. This tool records, among other things, page views, clicks and interactions, viewing time, as well as technical data (device, browser, system, language, IP address and approximate location, visit source).
Purpose: audience statistics, analysis of browsing journeys, and continuous improvement of the site.
Legal basis: Esifly's legitimate interest in measuring and improving its service. Data is linked to your account only when you are logged in.
Retention period: audience measurement data is kept for 90 days, then automatically deleted.
Our site also uses third-party cookies and trackers for audience measurement and marketing purposes (in particular Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel and TikTok Pixel). These third parties may set their own cookies and process your data in accordance with their respective policies.
